About the Farm
Founded in 2004, Atlas Farm is a 100-acre certified organic, diversified family farm with its roots in the fertile soil of the Connecticut River Valley. Our produce is sold at The Atlas Farm Store, at Farmers Markets, and to Wholesale Customers throughout New England.
We are proud of our region-wide reputation for top-quality organic produce. We harvest from our fields daily from May through November, and pack storage crops for sale throughout the winter months. Atlas Farm strives to be a model of ecological food production, and to minimize our resource consumption and environmental impact with constant improvements to our farm systems.
The Atlas Farm Store in South Deerfield opened in 2013 with the mission of supporting local agriculture by providing a vibrant marketplace for regional farm products, as well as Atlas Farm’s own certified organic produce. In 2022, ownership of the Farm Store passed to former general manager Kelly Hickey, who is committed to growing the business in continued close partnership with Atlas Farm.
We stock our farmers market stand with a bountiful selection of fresh organic produce, as well as our own organic plant starts.
We accept SNAP/HIP and are committed to keeping local, organic produce affordable for all.
In 2022, Atlas Farm’s new mobile market will take to the road, visiting public housing sites in Holyoke and Greenfield.

We offer delivery and on-farm pickup to grocery stores, produce distributors, restaurants, grower co-ops, and other small farms in Western Massachusetts. In spring, summer, and fall, we deliver directly to grocery stores in the Boston area. We also work with local distributors to reach New York City and other locations in the Northeast.

Summer on the Farm
Summertime, and the livin’ is — actually, we’re working HARD around here. The farm fields are bursting with greens. Fruiting crops like zucchini and tomatoes are starting to boom. Mornings are devoted to bringing in the harvest, and then there are seedlings to transplant, weeds to pull, tomatoes to trellis — whew! We are so thankful for the experienced, hard-working crew that makes all this possible.
