Welcome! These are the fields and faces of Atlas Farm.

Spring on the Farm

In spring, the farm is alive with fresh energy. Farm workers and seedlings seem to have the same desires — to dig into the soil and feel the sun on our faces! The main farm’s greenhouse is the heart of the farm in this season, producing the organic plant starts that are transplanted into fields beginning in early April. By June, the first head lettuces and bunching greens are harvested.

Summer on the Farm

Summer days are long and we fill every moment of them! Fresh greens are harvested first thing in the morning to beat the heat, and then it’s time to bring in zillions of zucchini and tomatoes by the truckload. In the heat of summer these fruiting crops seem to grow and ripen before our very eyes. While the crew is busy harvesting, harvesting, and harvesting some more, our field production team is running irrigation and busting weeds every day. An action-packed season on the farm!

Autumn & Winter on the Farm

Like summer, autumn is harvest season. Hardy greens persist late into the fall. We’re also hustling to bring in the hearty, durable foods that allow us to eat local in New England all year round: cabbage and leeks, beets and carrots, turnips and radishes, potatoes and sweet potatoes. These crops will be stored on-farm and packed for wholesale well into the winter months.
