Winter CSA

Winter Share 2011/2012:

The winter share runs from December 6 to March 27 (18 weeks). Shares consist of a variety of storage crops such as winter squash, carrots, potatoes, onions, and beets, as well as canned tomatoes,  greenhouse grown salad greens, and cooking greens. Pick ups are on the farm every other week (a total of 9 pickups) on Tuesday afternoons from 3-7 Directions to the farm. We also offer drop-off sites in Amherst and in Northampton on Saturdays from 10-2. 

The winter share is available in two sizes: A large share will average 25 lbs of storage crops and greens per pickup and costs $350; a small share will average about 12 lbs of storage crops and greens and costs $200.

• 2 winter squash
• 3 lbs carrots
• 3 lbs fingerling potatoes
• 3 lbs yukon gold potatoes
• 3 lbs beets
• 6 lbs sweet potatoes
• 2 lb turnips
• 2 heads garlic
• 1 cabbage
• 1/2 lb baby greens

Sample Large Share, February

• 6 lbs carrots
• 2 lb russet potatoes
• 4 lb red potatoes
• 2 lb turnips
• 2 lb watermelon radishes
• 6 lbs beets
• 3 heads of garlic
• 4 lb onions
• 1/2 lb baby greens
